Custom Baltec insoles

Milled insoles / 3D printed insoles

Product introduction

Custom Baltec insoles

Customized medical insoles are an interface between the patient's foot and the shoe, which are designed and manufactured by accurately calculating the structure of the foot and the way he walks, and on the other hand, the pathology of his biomechanical structure, with the prescription of a doctor.

In designing Baltec’s custom insoles, a 2D or 3D scan of the patient’s foot is used as the basis for the design. This process takes into account all the structural features of the foot, such as the overall dimensions, shape and height of the arches, heel, toes and toe edges. In addition, the corrective parameters prescribed by the doctor are also applied.

Software

Baltec's exclusive insole design with high precision and perfect fit

CADSOL3D software, one of the most advanced orthotic design software, is used in this process. The design is done by technical orthopedic specialists and includes adjustments such as pressure control pads, correction of slopes to manage pain and knee deformities, compensation for leg shortening, and selection of the hardness or softness of the insole material based on the patient's needs.

Production method

Method of producing Baltec medical insoles

After completing the specialized process of designing Baltec medical insoles in CADSOL3D software by orthotics and prosthetics specialists, the insole manufacturing process is carried out using CAD/CAM technologies and the most advanced mechanized production facilities.

Jet fusion orthosis production is the most expensive and at the same time the most advanced orthosis production method in the world. Currently, Aramed is the only supplier of jet fusion orthosis production services in the country. In this method, orthosis production is carried out using materials compatible with the body and in the thinnest, most delicate, strongest and most controllable form possible. Baltek medical insoles produced by the jet fusion method are made of biocompatible polymers and are produced in thicknesses of one to two millimeters and have the ability to be placed very easily in shoes. Other features of jet fusion insoles include their elasticity while walking, which places this type of insole in the category of functional insoles. In Baltek Jet Fusion insoles, due to the use of very precise manufacturing technology, it is possible to adjust different degrees of hardness in different parts of the insole (as determined by the orthotics and prosthetics specialist), as well as the possibility of implementing foot breathing holes in different parts of the insole.

Another new method of producing orthotics is the use of new materials in 3D printing, which also allows its use in shoe insoles. In Aramed, in addition to the jet fusion method, it is possible to manufacture 3D printed insoles based on the orthotist's design using printed oil materials. The advantages of this method are the production of durable insoles, with the ability to adjust the degree of hardness and with the ability to implement all the modifications made by the orthotist.

The production of foot orthoses using CNC milling is one of the oldest methods of producing medical insoles. This method is usually produced on foam material made of polyethylene vinyl acetate, or EVA. In Baltek medical insoles, the therapist has the option of choosing a range of different degrees of hardness of the material, and thus, based on the age and condition of the patient and with the prescription of a specialist physician and orthotist designer, the insole is machined on the appropriate material for the patient.
